June Highlights
Welcome to another episode of remembering the month gone by. This month’s biggest excitement was getting a new car! The research before buying it and now the learning curve to figure out how to use it!!
We also had a wonderful mini vacation which you can see below.
Day 6: Welcome “Citra” to the Filogomo family. (Yes, I name my cars) The day finally came where we traded out Rob’s SUV for a new car. His Toyota 4Runner was 20 years old and had almost 200 K miles on it. This is a Mazda CX5 and will get lots of love during our explorations of Arizona!
Day 10: If you think it’s too hot to eat outside here in Arizona (at 100+ degrees), let me just tell you how the misters make all the difference. Which is why you see them everywhere. Seriously, I actually was chilly at the end of our lunch. We’ve now found our favorite burger place called Zinburger. If you come visit, we will take you there!
Day 14: Evening time is our favorite on the back porch. I shared all the details about this spot on the blog last month, but forgot to include the twilight shot. We added the extra lights after I took the photos for that post and found the turquoise pillows at Goodwill on our scavenger hunt which you can read about here.
Day 19: Who loves taking their kitties to the vet? We found a mobile vet here in Sun City that comes to your house. What a wonderful service, so the cats (and my hubby) aren’t stressed out by the ride to get there.
Day 20: We ventured up north to a small town in Arizona called Pine. It reminded us of the small mountain towns in Colorado with the trees and elevation!! We visited their farmer’s market and a couple of antique shops.
Day 22-25: Thanks to my best friend who gifted us her time share for our mini vacation. We stayed for a couple of nights in Sedona!! While we have red rocks in Colorado, there were SO many more in Sedona. Every day we marveled at the beautiful scenery.
Day 26: The washer finally got fixed so the weekend was spent doing 3 loads of laundry!!
Day 28: We saw the most amazing sunset this evening!
