Weekly Wrap Up 1.30.21
Another week has flown by and next week starts the month of February. Why is that exciting?? Because it’s our anniversary month (we got married on Valentine’s Day) so there is usually some celebrating.
I’m not sure what we are doing exactly this year, but if you have ideas, I’m all ears. This will be our 17th year of wedded bliss!!
Weekend
We traveled out to Sahuaro Ranch to take blog photos and we were going to tour the historic house. Unfortunately even though the website said there were tours, they had been cancelled due to Covid. But it was a a great place and we will have to go back again.
While we were there, a girl turning 16 was having her photos taken. Unfortunately, the “6” balloon floated away during the photos!!! But she was in this beautiful yellow outfit and it was so fun to watch.
Then we took my mom out for her birthday celebration. Isn’t that face priceless? The funniest thing?? Both Lesley and I bought her the same card!!! See the photo of shoes on the cover?? It’s the evolution of aging. Inside?? Undies…I’m sure your imagination can fill in the rest!!
Monday
I usually plan my outfit in accordance to what you will see on the blog (or Instagram) in the future. That mean you are getting a preview here in these Weekly Wrap Up posts. Of course, I’m not going to tell you what the theme is, but I’ll give you a hint…it’s my newest obsession!!
The rain boots were key today because it’s been raining. Shocking since we didn’t have our usual monsoon this last summer. IN FACT, some areas of Phoenix and the surrounding towns got snow!!
We were visiting with some friends in Sun City West (we used to sit next to them in church back in Denver) and it hailed/sleeted at their house. Since we weren’t home at the time, I’m not exactly sure what happened here except to say our power was out for 2 hours!
Tuesday
Do you like the lighting better in these last two photos?? I am using a ring light we just purchased. I have to admit that for the rainy days it’s been very helpful. Usually I just open the door in the morning and seem to get enough light. But that wouldn’t have worked these last two days.
Today’s theme is a pop of red for an upcoming Instagram group of girls. Even though it was a no makeup day, I felt a tad sexy in this!!
Wednesday
Today’s outfit comes to you as a prompt for an upcoming Instagram #TwinningTuesday post. It’s all about the denim skirt but since it’s a tad short for winter, I added in my newest favorite boots!!!
What’s under the boots?? My compression socks to keep me warm. Not sponsored and I don’t get a commission, but both my husband and I wear our compression socks quite a bit in the winter. Here’s the post where I introduced them and I think the discount code still works if you are interested.
The fun part of the day was we get to be the tech support crew for some of our neighbors. It always makes us feel worthwhile to fix any phone issues they are having!!
Thursday
There were many comments that this outfit was wild on my IG stories. And I understand sometimes I put together clothing that you just roll your eyes at!! But it never hurts to try new things, right. Every day you get a mulligan to start anew.
Besides, I’m working hard to really wear all the variety in my closet. I have cute clothes, so I figure I might as well wear them!!
Today we picked up my car after being fix becasue of a fender bender. Because it’s a 1997 model Honda Del Sol, they had to repair the bumper instead of replace it because they can’t get the parts, LOL!! Kinda like us as we get older. It’s harder to replace our parts!!
Friday
And the end of the week brings you a more subdued outfit. This is something I would have worn in my pre blogging days. Not too much color or anything over the top. WHY did I dress like this today??
Because we are taking blog photos today, and the focus will be elsewhere. Make sure to follow along to see what I mean!!!
Happy weekend!!
Thank You
My goal is to find things that help you with your day, and to bring a smile and kindness to your life.
