Weekly Wrap Up 3.6.21
Do you remember that saying about March? In like a lamb or lion?? Luckily it’s been relatively lambish here and hopefully it stays that way. I’m still wearing sweaters and jackets in the morning (remember the truth about Arizona weather that I wrote about here), but I get to shed these layers most afternoons.
Weekend

I wore this Saturday knowing I had an Instagram live interview with Shaleen (you can see the playback here). We had talked about my handknitted sweaters, so I wanted to make sure I was showcasing one.
Then on Sunday, I threw on this outfit after shooting some videos. Usually I plan out my outfit the night before, so this was all about grabbing the items that were sitting around, LOL!
This is the sweatshirt that I used in my hoodie post to layer over another sweater. While I never thought I’d like wearing words on my chest, I have succumbed especially when they have a wonderful message.
Monday
Today’s outfit was inspired by a Twinning collaboration with another Instagram friend to wear green pants.
After my interview with Shaleen, I wanted to work on my print mixing skills. So I layered this print cardigan (styled inside out) over a print blouse.
Then because it’s still chilly in the mornings and I was taking my mom to a doctor’s appointment, I added a blazer. I vacillated on which color blazer. Until I searched through my blazers that haven’t been worn yet this year. And found this purple one!!
It’s not a combination I would have thought about at first, but I LOVE how it came together!! Along with my Walking Cradles shoes (and no show Sheec socks).
Tuesday

This outfit isn’t the same that I started with for the day. I had a grey lace shirt on first, but after my initial selfie (which is what you normally see in these posts), I realized it didn’t work. I consider the fact of needing to change an element in an outfit after a selfie as a normal thing to do. It’s not a failure, just a mulligan!!
Wednesday

After talking about which shoe to wear all week, I thought I’d give you the choice for this outfit. It was pretty half and half when I asked on my Instagram stories. Which goes with my theory, that there can be MANY options for shoes for every outfit.
I bought this dress at Old Navy in December for a whopping $4. And if you saw my stories, you would know how impressed I am with it because of the extra hidden buttons at the chest so it doesn’t gape open. I can’t comment if all Old Navy button up dresses have this, but this one is fabulous!!
The idea of today was all about the mustard cardigan. Cathie is going to be wearing hers too for a #twinningTuesday post on Instagram soon, so I thought it’d be fun to take the photos together.
Thursday
Just check out these shoes. Aren’t they a tad sexy and retro?? We found them on one of our blog photo outings at a thrift store.
They are Via Spiga brand which is usually expensive. Although I see they aren’t producing shoes right now. They were only $5 and what sealed the deal is how S.O.F.T the leather is.
Lesley told me I should style them many ways for the blog, so here is one way. With distressed jeans!! (And I want you to know there is no pink in this jacket. Check the top photo to see. It’s neon orange and blue IRL).
Also check out these amazing earrings. They are from a brand called Audra Style and I just ADORE them. Handmade in the USA, all lightweight, unique and still affordable.
Friday
My husband’s first words when I came out in the morning were “Oh la la”. Maybe looking French isn’t your goal, but I was going for something retro and pink with these shoes.
And the beret??? I knitted it!! I’m off for a facial today so I needed a hat to cover the hair. It always gets messy after her treatments!!
Thank You
