Practical Tips for Wearing Booties with Jeans for Older Women

If you ever google about wearing booties with jeans, you will see suggestion after suggestion about how to roll up your jeans or how they look better one way or another. Yet Lesley is showing how her straight leg jeans look perfect cascading over these Roma booties.
Since I’ve seen the straight leg jeans popping up more in the stores, then this could be the practical way of wearing booties with jeans. In fact, it’s really nice when the jeans aren’t too long so you can appreciate the fabulous details of the boots.
Fall Colors
Lesley incorporated the fall colors into her outfit. The rust colored top and tan jacket are pulled together with the scarf. And then the darker booties ground the look.
Insider tip: An easy way to style your scarf without crazy twists and ties, is to attach the ends together with a clip or elastic. You can use an orthodontic elastic or hair elastic for this trick.
The advantage of this idea is the scarf material isn’t up around your neck and you can still showcase a necklace.
Straight Leg Jeans
As we know, all styles come around again. Maybe you’ve even seen the high waisted jeans have returned? The advantage of the straight leg jeans is it makes it easy wearing booties with jeans. You don’t have to struggle with cuffing up the jeans or trying to tuck them in the boots.
Jambu Roma Boots Review
Lesley chose these Roma boots in the Whiskey color. They also come in black. Even Jambu’s site suggests to size up a half size for better fit. And Lesley did exactly that in case she wanted to wear socks with them. The heel is just a tad taller than 2 inches. While this is very walkable, Lesley said she will be adding a cushion to the ball of her foot to make walking a bit easier since the heel is a tad higher than what she’s used to wearing.
Lesley’s in love with the color. Everyone may describe the whiskey color differently but this one definitely has some red hues to it. I would call it a red-brown. In fact, when I first videoed it on my Instagram stories, the lighting was darker and my friends thought they were red.
These Roma boots have a zipper on the inside along with elastic on the outside so it was easy to get on and off and not too tight with Lesley’s high arch.
The only drawback to these booties (compared to the ones my mom and I chose) is they aren’t waterproof. However, you can always treat your boots with waterproof spray before you wear them.
