How to Wear Jeans in the Summer with Blue and White
It’s not always our first thought about how to wear jeans in the summer months. Most of the really hot days jeans are just too hot.
Quote of the day: ” I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity – all I hope for in my clothes.” Yves Saint Laurent
So since jeans are so iconic and we all have some, I thought it’d be fun to pair them with my blue and white top. I love how all of our blue and white tops are so different, yet all the same color way. Thanks to Marceline for this suggestion.
If you missed it, Nancy paired her top with a neutral, and my mom went for all out color with hers. And then I came up with tons of ideas from past posts about other colors that go with blue and white.

How to Wear Jeans in the Summer
I see many women wearing jeans in the summer, yet I tend to gravitate more towards dresses and skirts. Therefore, I decided to do what I tell you all to do and get out of your comfort zone! LOL!
My thinking with the blue and white top theme was that most women tend to match the colors in their top. So this was an opportunity to wear a color that matched, yet in a way jeans are really a neutral too.
And to think about how to wear jeans in the summer, I went ahead and rolled them up to make them more like capris or ankle pants.

The Blue & White Top
I’ve worn this top both casually and for dress up before on the blog. It’s one of those shirts that screams summer to me! The best thing about this top is there are two layers of material, so it’s not see through.
And on top of that, because I’m wearing my Shapeez bra, you don’t see my bra lines at all. I ended up buying the Shortee version which is what I’ve been wearing for the summer. It’s not too hot at all, and I just LOVE that I’m not dying to take it off at the end of the day. No, this post isn’t sponsored, but I can’t tell you how much I love these bras. The only time I don’t wear it is when I go for a massage (I don’t want to get oils on it) or if I have something low cut in the back.

Accessories
Since I was sticking to the blue and white theme, I thought I’d add in some color with most of my accessories. Ever since the lesson on hair accessories with my stylist, I’ve been experimenting more and more. I’ve definitely learned that hair accessories are not only for long hair.
These Mott & Bow Jeans
I hadn’t heard of Mott & Bow before they reached out to me. In fact, I wasn’t sure if this was the company for me or not. They are all about simplicity with premium grade jeans. I tend to like all of the fun details. But then I remembered how many times I struggle because I don’t buy the basics much. FYI, I was gifted these with no obligation. I did not have to include them in a post.
You saw the red and white striped shirt last week. And now I’m wearing a pair of slim boyfriend jeans in the medium/dark blue. You might appreciate how there are no holes in the jeans, yet there is a slightly worn-in look. And yes, they are a perfect stretch and didn’t sag at the end of the day.
But the best part that I really liked? They send you two different sizes to try on and you return the pair that didn’t fit at no charge. Because I was able to choose the inseam too, these don’t need to be shortened (shocking). And the waistband fit without my mom having to take it in.
PS…You do get a 20% off your first order with my link. I realize it’s not the hugest discount and they aren’t inexpensive. However, if you wear jeans all the time, it could be worth it.

Silver Sneakers
I’ve had these silver sneakers for 3 years now thanks to my friend, Jude. I was contemplating buying a pair (which cost about $70) and she told me not to buy those, that she would DIY me a pair.
You can see they’ve been quite loved and I wear them with everything. It’s just like Bev, who has told me she’s become a metallic sandals convert. Your metallic shoes really are versatile, and add a bit of fun to anything!
My Favorite Color with Blue and White
So I can’t really tell you my favorite color with blue and white. I am an equal opportunity lover of all colors. Which is why I added in orange earrings, an orange and brown hat along with lots of colors with my bracelets and purse.
Truthfully, I will tell you that yellow is my favorite color for right now. It’s happy and bright, which is why I’m posing next to the yellow guy. More about all of these fun “people” coming up.
