How to Wear a Jumpsuit if You Are Short & Ageless Style Linkup
It’s not super hard to figure out how to wear a jumpsuit if you are short. I find that the cropped versions fit us short gals without needing to be shortened. Cropped pants are something I talked about in the spring trends post, and they work for jumpsuits too. It’s thanks to Paula from our Ageless Style group that came up with this theme for the month.
Quote of the day: “And though she be but little, she is fierce.” Shakespeare
Fierce is a great way to describe jumpsuits in one word. They are one and done along with being a great dressy option instead of dresses. Don’t be put off by the bathroom issues. I have some great ideas on how to counteract that issue.
Nancy wore her jumpsuit with a cardigan over it for our series. So I tried wearing a top under mine instead. And then Charlotte wore a faux jumpsuit.

How to wear a jumpsuit if you are short
While I wasn’t a hundred percent sure that I would like the wide legged, cropped silhouette, they certainly have their advantages. Just last month I experimented with styling another pair I owned, and it made me like them much more.
It’s like when ankle pants started being popular. Maybe you didn’t like the idea of a shorter pant length, but it’s a modern trend. And the best thing is I rarely have to shorten these pieces to get them to fit correctly.

Layering Under your Jumpsuit
I really like the idea of layering a top under your jumpsuit for many reasons. Of course both of these have to do with the bathroom aspect.
One, when you go to the bathroom, you don’t seem as naked. Or is that only my weird issue? And then two, it’s nicer not to have to take off your topper in order to get to your jumpsuit.
I wore a yellow sweater under this same jumpsuit when I was in St. Louis this spring. You can see it on Day 10 of my April highlight post.

Accessories
I won this necklace from Amrita Sing on Instagram. She is a jewelry designer and has quite a few great sales every once in a while if you’re interested.
These are yellow beads, but are more of a limeish yellow which is why I paired my lime green purse with the outfit. I wanted to pair a turquoise necklace with this outfit because my friend, Laurel, says a pop of turquoise makes everything better. However, all of my turquoise seemed too dark with the brown top underneath.

To Belt or Not to Belt
I just published a YouTube video on when and when not to wear belts. While I really like wearing a belt with this jumpsuit to break up the print, there’s that issue of taking it off for the bathroom break.
What do you think? Should I have belted it?

White Footwear
I bought these Walking Cradle mules when I was in St. Louis for their Shoe Stravaganza. Since I love my white boots so much, I figured these would get as much wear also. And they do. They go with absolutely everything. In fact, I just bought some white sandals on my latest DSW trip because of it.
While some women complain of mules flapping their heel when they walk, that’s what I like about these. They don’t because they come up on my foot more. Until July 1, 2019 you can still save 15% off Walking Cradles shoes with my discount code of Style15. An insider tip is to sign up for Walking Cradles emails, because they also have extra sales from time to time.

Jumpsuit
I wouldn’t call this jumpsuit extremely flattering on me. I have a feeling if I would have ordered the petite version, it might have fit a tad better. But I was in the store and wanted it right away.
However, my rationale is two fold. One, the print has these vertical lines in it due to the coloring, so I think that helps. And two, it’ll be nice in the hot weather to have a piece that isn’t too fitted. See, already I’m planning for the Arizona summers.
